Story
Thank you to everyone who has sponsered me - At 10:00am on Sumday 31st July I became a Skydiver - Jumping at 15000ft -Free falling for 10000ft through 2 levels of clouds before opening the chute and floating to the ground..
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
About 20 years ago my mum died from cancer and now 20 years on there seems to have been little progress towards finding a cure as such I thought it would a good time to try and raise some money to help find a cure.
So rather than just ask people to donate I thought I'd give you a bit of pay back - so - I'm going to jump out of a plane at about 15,000ft (which I'm paying for) over the Devon countryside.
But before I can do that I need to lose a stone - so it's a double challenge.... Loose weight and Jump....
Oh and overcome my fear of heights!!!
All I'm asking is that my family, friends and even people who don't even know me donate what ever they can afford towards this cause.
Having mentioned my jump to a number of people it has become clear that the majority of people out there know someone that has suffred from cancer, be it a friend, family member or in some cases even themselves, it really does seem to touch us all and it has made me even more determined to raise as much as I can for this excellent charity.
So dig deep and donate what you can, if you live in the UK don't forget to add the Gift Aid details so the total can go even higher.
LATEST UPDATE - MY EMPLOYER HAS NOW AGREED TO MATCH POUND FOR POUND WHAT EVER I CAN RAISE UP TO A MAXIMUM OF £700 SO FOR EVERY POUND YOU DONATE THE CHARITY WILL GET MORE THAN TWO.
So thanks for your time and money, donating through the website is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
