I am raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund because this particular cancer research seems to be underfunded.

A little bit about Pancreatic Cancer:

It's been described as the silent cancer as it's very difficult to spot - no obvious symptoms until it's well established and creating secondary cancers.

The cause is unknown.

Cure isn't possible once it goes metastatic

Of the 8000 people diagnosed each year in the UK, 3% survive five years - a rate that is unchanged over the last 40 years, reflecting the relatively low level investment in researching this particular cancer. That can't be acceptable.

Charity Appeal:

I'd  like to raise some money to help remedy this and would appreciate any donations. These will go to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund which is funded through public donations only.

Update from John's family:

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have to say John passed away 14 February peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by loving family.

Always an inspirational man, even when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he was trying to find ways to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund so that others wouldn't have to go through the same.

Writing songs was a lifetime passion of his, and we are so grateful that Noel and Mark Blackman are bringing these to life for a charity album. We will keep you all updated on when this is released. 

Update from John:

I've decided to make and ‘launch’ a charity album of some of the songs I've written, both very recently and one or two from a while ago.

All 12 tracks are written by me, but arranged by the excellent Mark and Noel Blackman.

We're still putting arrangements together but I thought I'd give you a sneak peak at the demo title track, Listen To My Heart...
