Story
My son Andrew died from cancer shortly before his 16th birthday in 2003. A biopsy on his spinal column left him paralysed, and in need of constant care.
There were no specialist care centres in Scotland at that time for teenagers and young adults with cancer, so we looked after Andrew at home for a year until he passed away, surrounded by his family.
Teenage Cancer Trust now provides that specialist hospital care in Scotland and throughout the UK, and my family has been raising funds to help them help young people who get this awful thing.
