Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page in memory of John Freeman.
John's funeral took place on the 25th April at a St Michael's Church, Lichfield.
Aged only 61, John passed away from complications of a lifetime spent battling and overcoming diabetes and kidney failure. He never complained and was always kind, loving, happy and giving.
In death, as in life, John faced adversity with both grit and humour. He died on the 10th April 2013 in the company of his family. John was a genuine, funny, caring man, whose gentle disposition and dedication to others stayed with everyone who met him. We can’t begin to measure the positive impact that John’s life and work had on other people. He was completely selfless.
Having watched John suffer from diabetes for over 50 years it is the Family's wish that we raise money for diabetes UK in memory of John, and help to find a cure for this disease.
John was also awating a kidney transplant when he died:- if you havent signed up already (and you would like to) please visit: www.organdonation.nhs.uk
