Story
Running the London Marathon has been an ambition of mine for a long time it started when I was a teenager watching my amazing Mum complete it and more recently proudly supporting my brother, Rob by watching on the TV from the comfort of my sofa and in fact spotting him on the TV coverage more than once!
This year I finally have a ballot place after many years of trying to get in. I'm not a natural runner so 26.2 miles is quite a challenge but I intend to give it everything I've got.
I'm extremely happy that I can use my place to raise money for The Firefighters charity. This charity is very close to my families heart as my Dad is a retired Firefighter and the charity has given my Mum fantastic support over the last few years as she battled back to good health after numerous neurosurgery's.
I have been lucky enough to visit her when she's been staying at Jubilee House in Penrith and have seen how hard the charity's staff work. Please help me give something back by donating as much as you can.
