We are honouring our son Joe who sadly lost his life in Mexico after unwittingly eating sesame whilst dining in a restaurant that he visited regularly and despite communicating his allergies to the staff in advance.

Instead of sending flowers for Joe's memorial we ask that you consider donating to Allergy UK as a tribute in his memory.

Allergy UK provide services such as allergy translation cards and the catering endorsement scheme which provides robust training for restaurants and catering establishments on the importance of allergy awareness.

Your support will help to further educate and communicate the importance of understanding the dangers of food allergies and the needless devastation and suffering that can be caused through a lack of understanding of the consequences.

 
In severe cases, reactions can lead to anaphylaxis which can be fatal, sadly as in the case of Joe.

It’s a tragic loss of life and we all miss Joe dearly and hope through this education other families are spared the pain we are all experiencing.
