We support people in the north of Scotland who are affected by cancer or a blood disorder. Working hand-in-glove with the NHS, we take care of the ‘big little things’, and we fund cutting-edge equipment and research. Every penny makes an impact as our operating costs are covered by Balmoral Group.

Story

A few folk have kindly asked what I'd like by way of a 50th birthday present. Other than the restoration of my 6 pack and youthful good looks, I have everything I want and need in the world.

That said, as many of you will know, the past 11 years have been a health rollercoaster. One made infinitely more bearable by the fantastic care of the nurses and doctors in the Anchor unit and the "Friends of Anchor" charity who enhance that care daily.

FoA do so much to make life as a cancer patient at ARI as pleasant as possible. Providing TVs and reclining chairs in patient rooms. Massage treatment. Podiatrists. Extra specialist equipment. Additional therapies. Better tea and cake in the treatment room. A listenibg ear. Care. Humanity.

If you're able and willing, any wee donation would be gratefully received.
