We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

As a 6 month year old baby I had pneumococcal meningitis, which at the time the doctors said there was a 1 in a million chance of getting it.  It is something I have not really discussed but  having 2 children myself I spoke about it with my family. The symptoms were all present but the doctors kept dismissing it. Eventually they became so severe I was rushed to hospital and my parents were told next 48 hours were critical, I was read my last rights by my local priest but thank fully I survived.

This has really made me realize how fortunate I was and I want to be able to help as many people as possible if ever they have the unfortunate problem of catching meningitis.

It is only since this conversation with my parents that it really hit me how fortunate I was and I want to repay that.
