Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My best friend Juliet died from cancer on 22nd February 2011 at the ridiculously young age of 42.
She was so loved by all her friends and family and was such a wonderful person who I looked up to greatly.
Knowing that her time was short she set out planning her big day after her boyfriend proposed to her which had been her lifetimes dream! Unfortunately time took over and the wedding had to be brought forward and the ceremony took place in the hospital in Brighton. She looked absolutely beautiful and I had the honour of being her bridesmaid. The day was the most emotional day ever. She died only hours after.
After seeing the most amazing work that the nurses and oncologists did for Ju I decided to start doing something to raise money to help other sufferers.
I ran my first Race For Life in the June after Ju passed away and have since ran Reading Half Marathon and Windsor Half Marathon and my aim is to now run the Brighton half marathon in Feb this year and then the Brighton full marathon in April. My training has not been straight forward lets say as my Asthma has been a bit troublesom over the winter! But what i learnt from Ju is that you have to be positive to get you through! Whenever i am struggling to run I just think of how much Ju would like to be in my shoes!
One of Ju's charities was Cancer research which is who I have decided to run for.
