Story
My goodness Baby Girl, time has flown by almighty fast,
I cannot believe how old I have to tell
people you should be every time that I am
asked.
For 9 years old, you will be as the sun rises in the morn tomorrow.
And finally it’s more than just a day off sad grief and relentless sorrow.
We pick you balloons and write cards with your name,
Choose your flowers, pick your cake but of course it ain’t the same.
But your brothers make it different, they always went to celebrate the day,
Sing happy birthday, cut your cake and colour it sunshine yellow instead of heartbreaking grey.
The tears will fall I know, as I wake, heartbroken and feeling that god damn awful pain,
That will never change, that will always be the same.
But now I have your brothers who throw me endless, soft and lingering cuddles,
Then they want to sing to you, dance for you and blow you your birthday bubbles.
And through that pain that I live with, deep down inside my heart,
You, your dad, your brothers and I , I know we’re never apart.
So Happy Birthday Baby Girl, choose wisely with your wish,
As I look up to the clouds and send you the most enormous birthday kiss.
Love you forever and day baby girl,
Love Mummy xxx
