2020 has been a very different year for all of us but I have seen an incredible amount of kindness given to those who need it more than ever.  I am using my upcoming 40th birthday and the decision to run my FIRST EVER marathon on that day (because Manchester Marathon is cancelled), to spread even more kindness.  There are so many in need right now, so it is hard to pick just one charity, but I volunteered as a trustee for this branch of the RSPCA for a year, and I know the small amount of staff and volunteers that work there give their everything to improving the lives of animals.

If you were going to be kind enough to celebrate my birthday with me by buying me a glass of wine or a (large) box of chocolates, then please just donate whatever you can to this local charity instead - it would mean the world to me, and it will definitely make training for a marathon a little easier!
