Story
Hi everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 5th December 2009 I will be taking part in the GRIM Challenge - it's an 8 mile run/wade through an old army vehicle testing ground. I am raising money for Hill Croft Special School, in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. Hill Croft is a school for children with severe learning difficulties and other challenges such as autism, epilepsy and mobility, visual and hearing impairments. All 86 children are aged between 3-19 years of age.
Hill Croft is trying to raise enough money to build an enclosed ball area within the Adventure Play Trail for the young people at the school, providing all of the students with an opportunity to play freely in a safe, managed environment. This is such an exciting prospect for everyone, as many of the children - due to their vulnerability and varying special needs - are unable to enjoy the interaction with other pupils at breaktimes. This would allow each and every young person at Hill Croft the opportunity to play outside.
