Story
Our wonderful Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, recent Nanny, and devoted wife Jo sadly passed away on June 5th 2021, at home where she wanted to be, looking out across the countryside, wrapped in a blanket of love from her family.
Jo was a unique, sparkling, caring, loving, crazy, force of nature. She impacted so many people over her 48 years with her vivacious personality.
Jo was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in January 2018. Through multiple operations, including Whipple procedure and Nanoknife, chemotherapy and endless medication, she never gave in, keeping positive and maximising use of the limited time left with her family and friends.
During this time St Peters Hospice provided invaluable support to her and the family, most significantly with the care in her own home towards, and at the end of her life.
St Peter’s Hospice is a local charity that provides care and support to adults who are living with a progressive life-limiting illness in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area. Established for over 40 years they support up to 500 patients at any one time with the majority of support provided in people’s homes. This allowed Jo to be where she wanted to be at the end with the right support for the whole family.
Their invaluable support is focused around the physical, psychological, social and spiritual issues that can arise as a result of serious illness, in order to improve the quality of a person’s life.
Please contribute so that others can benefit from their amazing support.
