Edinburgh Marathon 2011 · 22 May 2011 ·
Well, the run is over and my legs are sore, but I thoroughly enjoyed my first attempt at running a marathon. I crossed the finish line in just over 4 hours and 57 minutes, ahead of the 5 hour target I'd set myself, so very pleased with that.
And, with your help, I've managed to raise shed loads for Macmillan, so a massive thanks for everyone who's donated to the cause - your generosity makes a huge difference to people's lives.
There's still time to donate if you'd like to - and your support makes a real difference to people living with cancer. Just £17.50 could pay for one more member of a cancer support group to go on a social event with other support group members. So go on - give us your dosh!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
