Story

Exciting auction update below! See you Sunday!

As Co-Founder of Chickenshed, I have seen over the past 47 years what children and young people can achieve when we include everyone. As you know, we use the medium of theatre to give everyone a chance, including those who have been previously denied that human right.

Due to Covid, Chickenshed is experiencing testing times. For so many, we are a safe place to belong and the mental health of our young people is suffering greatly by their not being able to attend. We are doing much virtually but need to ensure that we can continue giving them a lifeline.

I hope that you will join me for a warm, welcoming and fun evening of music and friendship on Sunday 5 July at 7.30pm. Myself and the house band will be streaming live from my garden, playing a mix of classic Jo Collins & Friends numbers, albeit in a distanced format!

The event will stream live from this page, so all you need to do is click on the URL link at 7.30pm on Sunday 5 July and donate £10 per person to take part.

Our exciting auction prizes will include:

1. 5 course tasting menu for 2 people with accompanying wines cooked by Jo Collins and served in her dining room!  (Starting bid of £150)

2. A day recording a song in a professional recording studio (Starting bid of £200)

3. A round of golf with the captain at the prestigious Old Fold Golf Club, Hadley Green, with drinks in the bar after (Starting bid of £50)

4. A trip for 2 people in a chauffeur-driven open-top 1923 Bentley 3 litre tourist trophy, (one of the few remaining), with a champagne picnic.  (Starting bid of £200)

5. Cup of tea and a chat with Stephen Mangan. (Starting bid of £100)

6. 2 x 1 hour sessions with a prestigious personal trainer  (Starting bid of £100)

Bidding and payment for the winners will be privately through Chickenshed Head of Fundraising, Gemma Kirk, by emailing her on gemmak@chickenshed.org.uk once the auction is launched during the event.

Looking forward to everyone being 'together'!

Lots of love,

Jo x
