It works to provide a positive supportive environment for those affected by MS, Parkinson's and many other long term conditions. The Centre promotes a proactive approach in supporting people to self manage the symptoms of their condition in rural areas of Mid Argyll, Kintyre, Islay and Jura.

Story

Our funny, dedicated and determined dad, Alan Smith, died recently after a long fight with Parkinson's disease, and a shorter one with pneumonia. He was 71.

Dad moved to Scotland in 2015 when his health deteriorated and he needed more help. The MS Centre in Lochgilphead was one of his favourite places and he looked forward to weekly wheelchair Zumba classes, wheelchair yoga or just having a cup of tea and a blether with his new friends.

Despite its name, the MS Centre provides support to families facing all kinds of medical, physical and emotional challenges. It's a tremendous resource for the whole community and Dad benefited from it enormously. Those of you who remember Mam will also recall she had MS and Dad cared for her right up to her death, so it's appropriate to raise money for an organisation which helped both of them.

Dad got some much from the MS Centre and with your help we can make sure more people enjoy the support and activities which brightened  up his life.

Please donate in Dad's memory - he'd have appreciated your kindness xx
