Story

On 23rd May 2020, I’m going to shave my head live on social media.

No, it’s not because I’ve gone crazy during the current pandemic (although there have been moments). It’s because I want to do something big and bold (or should I say bald) that will raise vital funds for St. Catherine’s Hospice — the wonderful people who cared for my lovely dad in his final days.

St. Catherine’s Hospice provide care and support at home and in their hospices for adults with a terminal illness, as well as their families and friends. You can find out more about what they do on their website, but, in short, they help people make most of every precious day with comfort and dignity.

The cost of this incredible care is around £11,000 a day, much of which is raised through things like events. Of course, these fundraising activities are unable to continue during the current pandemic, which means they need our help…

So please will you spare whatever you can and sponsor me to shave my head for St. Catherine’s Hospice? I’d also love it if you tuned into the live stream of the event on https://www.facebook.com/TheHunmanbyPantry/ so you can support me from afar… or just to see what I look like bald.

Your donation and support will mean the world to me and my family, and it’s sure to help hundreds of St. Catherine’s patients and families during what I know is an incredibly difficult time.

Thank you so much and I look forward to being able to say it to you in person when all this is over. In the meantime stay safe and thank you again, Jo-Ann x
