The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans is a registered charity run by London taxi drivers for the benefit of military veterans of all conflicts. The cabbies volunteer their time and vehicles to take veterans on trips to concerts and museums.

As a Bevin Boy from 1943-1947, dad proudly took his place alongside other veterans on several trips organised by the charity.

There were outings to Worthing, France and a particularly memorable one in 2014 to Oosterbeek in Holland.

Rather than offering flowers to commemorate dad’s passing, you might like to consider making a donation to this special cause that dad held very close to his heart.

To fund and facilitate these outings, the charity is wholly reliant on donations from members of the public, businesses and trusts and the amazing group of London taxi drivers who volunteer their time and vehicles so willingly.
