Story
Recently, my niece Malia was diagnosed with Autism. As a family, we’ve been learning and growing alongside her, discovering new ways to support her needs and embrace her unique perspective on the world. Every step of this journey has made us more aware of the challenges families face and the importance of having access to resources, support, and community.
Malia currently attends a group called Rainbow Rogues - a North East charity that offers support groups for families who have pre-school children with additional support needs and/or a disability. Malia attends these sessions weekly, loves going and the support they give the children and the parents is second to none.
Rainbow Rogues rely on donations and grants to run their sessions, which is why myself and my friend Beth are running the Edinburgh half marathon in May to fundraise for this wonderful charity.
We’ve set a goal of £1,000 and every donation—no matter how big or small—will help us get there. Your kindness means the world to us and to every child who will benefit from Rainbow Rogues’ amazing work.
Thank you
