Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I know this is a controversial topic yet along with youth suicide is one that lies close to my heart. If all this pages does is challenge your perception on homelessness than I thank you. I will be doing this sleepeasy with two of my dearest friends so safety is not an issue. 

The three main causes for homelessness are family breakdown, mental health and becoming ex military.

As a child me and my mother were unbelievably close to being homeless through a family breakdown, without my grandmother to take us in we would have been going to charities like Streetlife for support. My mother at the time was a surgeon. The perception of homelessness being down to drug or alcohol use is false.

Regardless of your views on the military do you really think that it is fair after serving your country for it then to not support you? Being homeless increases your risk of becoming a victim of crime, abuse and 36% more likely to take your own life. It is a fundamental human right to have somewhere warm and safe to live. 

Youth homelessness is on the rise, by helping me raise awareness we can change this,  challenge prejudice and help support Streetlife which is a non-profit organisation. Streetlife help to provide shelter, safety, food, advice and support.
