Help Age UK Hertfordshire raise £20,000 to support local older people during these unprecedented times.

Story

So my dad sitting here one night came up with the idea tonight that he will let me shave his luscious locks off if I raised £300+ for a charity of my choice. And he fully well knows not to say silly things like that without folllwing up on them!
So here it is ladies & gents... you know what to do 😉

#BEEDSGOESBALD👨🏼‍🦲

Age UK Hertfordshire is the largest charity supporting older people in Hertfordshire. Were facing an unprecedented demand for our services, and were having to move fast to make sure no older person is left unsupported or in hardship. This is a confusing time particularly for older people who may be self-isolating or unable or worried about going out. Many older people live alone, many are in ill health and many already find daily life a struggle. We need your help to ensure that we reach as many isolated older people as possible. Were having to change the way we deliver our services. Our day centres are closed and our face to face contacts are being cut to help prevent the spread of the virus but this means endless empty days for many of our older clients. Were working to increase our Telephone befriending, our Telephone Emotional Support Service and to create food parcels and entertainment packs for older people who face weeks or months of isolation.
