Hi all,

As you all know i lost my brother Justin in October last year of Pancreatic cancer, He was diagnosed on Feb the 10th 2011 and died on the 28th Oct 2011leaving my niece 9,nephew 6 and his wife Sarah this was the worst year of my families life as in January of that year my brother weighed 19st and died 8 months later weighing not much more than 7-8st, he was in constant pain and discomfort never slept and was having 16 strong pain killers per day for the pain in his back, also i worked with a backup driver at work Gary Kirkham who also died last year in his early 40's of this terrible illness leaving a 2 yr old son and wife another tragic story, also ive made a friend on facebook Cath Winterburn who at this current time is having chemo to fight this illness and wish her all the very best with her fight .....This is only part of why i need to try and raise as much money as i possibly can for this Fantastic Charity so please can you help me a dig deep and sponsor me to raise money to try and help stop people like My brother dying so young of this underfunded illness.

PANCREATIC CANCER RESEARCH FUND.

Each year 800 people in the UK are diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.

It is the 5th most common cause of cancer death and has the highest rate of death of all cancers.

There is no early detection test and treatment is limited.Because symptoms are initially very vague and generally dont appear until the disease is well advanced, the average survival time after diagnosis is 6 Months.

Despite the sepecially lethal nature of this disease , research is underfunded compared with other types of cancer.

PANCREATIC CANCER RESEARCH FUND IS THE ONLY EXCLUSIVELY FUNDING RESEARCH INTO CANCER THROUGHOUT THE UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
