Sleepout for Homelessness - October 2017

CEO Sleepout Manchester 2017 · 16 October 2017 ·
I'm not a CEO myself, but homelessness is a cause that has been close to my heart since my own very brief two months sleeping rough in 2005. I was helped a great deal by hard working volunteers at various charities and soup kitchens in Exeter, who helped get me through one of the toughest periods of my life, following drug addiction and clinical depresion.
As funding for homelessness and poverty charities is frequently cut, it's important that those of us with the means to help, do what we can to support those on the ground who are having such a positive impact. Thank you for any support you can provide and if you are joining the Sleepout, I look forward to seeing you there.
A little info from the charity, below:
"CEO Sleepout is a charity set up to fight homelessness and poverty. Our
fight is funded with money raised by executives who sleep outdoors for
one night to raise sponsorship from their business contacts and friends.
We’re holding events across the UK in 2016 and are recruiting people
now – who are willing to help us fight poverty."
