Story
Having Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis is very difficult for the person living with the illness and their families. It affects children, teenagers, adults and elderly people and can have a huge impact on many aspects of their lives.
Donating money to Crohn's & Colitis UK is a great cause. Research still needs to be done to understand this illness and to help those suffering with it.
As a Crohn's Disease patient myself, I know first hand how Inflammatory Bowel Disease can be difficult to manage and come to terms with - after having surgery and being diagnosed in November 2012. I hope that the money I raise will be able to help other people suffering with this illness and will also help to raise awareness. Even though, as a Crohn's Disease patient, I suffer with fatigue, anaemia and painful joints - I am going to be walking 5km around London on the 22nd June 2013 to raise money and to show that people with IBD are stronger than their illness.
Any donation you can spare is greatly appreciated.
