She had numerous people in her life responsible for her bruises, including herself.Coming to Stepping Stone was Michelle's first step in healing.She was desperate for a hot meal, a bed, some warm clothing, and a safe place where she could sleep through the night. What she, like many residents, ended up finding was the person who she was meant to become: self-confident, self-reliant, loved, resilient, and strong.Michelle's journey is not unique to the hundreds who walk through Stepping Stone's door.
