Story
Inspired by David Goggins’ 4x4x48 challenge a group of us are taking on the challenge in support of Jeff “aye aye” Davies who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Being the popular guy that Jeff is we want to get as many people involved as possible.
So the challenge… 4x4x48;
4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours!
The idea is to complete 4 miles at 6pm then at 10pm then at 2am and so on for example for 48 hours which means 12 journeys in total.
This can be done either running, walking or even crawling!
BUT we won’t to make this as accessible to all of Jeff’s friends and family so we’ve also added more options:
Option 1: Complete 48 miles during March
Option 2: Complete the 4x4x48 challenge (March 5th- March 7th)
There will be an optional £20 entry fee which will include a custom snood with all proceeds going to charity. Head over to the Facebook page below for details on how to pay. If you would like to participate without the snood then feel free to just donate and get stuck in.
Or if neither of these challenges are for you just get your favourite trainers on and just do what you can in support. Even link up with a friend(s) and complete one of the challenges as virtual relay team.
Due to current lockdown measures this will need to be completed alone or with your household & socially distanced.
We’ll be using Strava to track the mileage and see how many miles we can do as a group in support of Jeff. Please download the app and search clubs for ‘Aye Aye challenge’. All efforts must be recorded as a run to be captured in Strava regardless if you’re walking or running.
