Story
Jean Lee had always supported wildlife through the RSPB, The International Wildlife fund, Save the Seals and many more.
Her small garden was a sanctuary to all wildlife and she seemed to attract many unusual kinds, including Rabbits, Badgers, Squirrels, Hedgehog families including their kits, Woodpeckers, Jays, Herons, Hawks, an array of the usual garden birds together with Toads, Stick insects and Giant Grass Hoppers, when the garden was so overgrown it was like a jungle and huge amount of various rodents.
She often said she preferred to watch the sparrows than the television who would often sit and peck at the window to tell her they had run out of food.
When she was younger she had tamed a young Robin with a lame leg called 'Hoppy' who would eat from her hand. One day hoppy came into the kitchen when she left the back door open and all the other birds followed him.
It will make her smile to know, that she will be able to continue to support wildlife and in an area very close to her heart.
