I have been so inspired by various fundraising efforts recently.  Most notably by Captain Tom Moore.  Unfortunately my health doesn't allow me to complete any physical feats or challenges.  However I love words especially poetry and I have written a poem called "Walk With Me".   I am fundraising for two organisations very close to me and my husband's heart.  WAVE Trauma Centre and the NHS (Northern Trust NI).  Both have supported and helped us in times of need.  I hope to raise something through my words to show some thanks.

                                               Walk with Me

Our world is such a wonderful place

and I dream we live in peace.

So I ask you all to walk with me,

lets walk together to close harmony.

Let’s show the world we can walk hand in hand

and love one and other all over this land.

It’s a wonderful world we live in and hatred is a
sin,

so lets open our hearts and let others in.

When you meet a stranger you may see sadness in
their eyes,

you have the power to make them happy

if you walk by their side.

Many people have suffered down through the years.

There have been bombs, there has been violence,

people have shed many tears.

So I ask you all to walk with me,

Lets walk together in close harmony.

Remember children are our future, so let’s guide
them well.

Teach them love, respect and kindness, teach them
how to care.

Teach them to have love for humanity and to spread
love everyday.

Say little children, I will show you the way.

Hatred is a dark place, don’t let their minds go
there.

Explain sometimes life is a struggle,

there can be conflict and strife,

but you can make a difference in how you live your
life.

Let’s tread softly when we’re angry

and keep room in our hearts for love.

Always love others, love freely, keep wisdom by
your side.

Be kind, descent and honest, then you can walk with
pride.

We are masters of our own fate,

lets make things better before it’s to late.

So I beseech you all to join hands and walk with
me, lets walk

together in close harmony.

Then we can have joy and laughter and peace
ever after.
