Fundraising from the age of 8, I choose different local/national charities to support and raising awareness throughout the year. I am a Royal Voluntary Service (formerly WRVS) member, volunteer, voluntary support worker and fundraiser.  My inspiration comes from my mum (bless her) who always gave what little she had to many people and charities in the community.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park has featured in world news for rescuing endangered wildlife, encouraging natural breeding at their animal sanctuary. Seeing how healthy they are, where some have recovered from traumatic beginnings, to be nurtured and loved in a habitat built to give them an environment similar to where they originate from. Rescuing animals used for entertainment, chained and locked up in cramped conditions is what the YWP Foundation Fundraiser is for - so that this valuable work can continue. The overheads for maintaining and running a Wildlife Park, with the priority of giving endangered wildlife the best protection and to save them from extinction is paramount. With classes for schoolchildren to teach them more about wildlife; flora and fauna; environmental issues and teach them the importance of recycling, reducing carbon emissions and eating less meat - doing all we can to save our planet. 

As a member of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and supporting them from the beginning when finances allowed(they officially opened 4th April 2009), and have come a long way from humble beginnings.
