Update: Kenya bike ride is back on for October 2022!!🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️

This is my story from 2020: This time next year I’ll be embarking on this super exciting Dream Challenge of cycling 300 miles around Kenya in aid of Women’s cancer charities.

My lovely mum sadly didn’t make it to her 50th birthday so I’m especially thankful to still be here & fighting fit at 53!  She died from breast & liver cancer at the young age of 49.

So in her memory & to hopefully raise loads of money for women’s cancer charities I’m under taking this cycling challenge having not ridden a bike since my youth until this year!

As you may have seen from some of my social media stories I purchased my first adult bike back in February this year & have been making a steady progress to get out each week & start pedalling!

After Christmas the big push starts until I am Kenya ready; hopefully by the middle of the year! I need to be able to at least cycle 50 miles each day for 2 consecutive days in my training to be ready for the 6 full days of cycling whilst there.

I am funding the trip myself but need to raise at least £1750 sponsorship money. That’s where all my wonderful friends/family/colleagues/work contacts & basically anybody who I can reach out to can help.
