Brighton Marathon 2019 · 14 April 2019 ·
This is a photo of me, sweaty and in pain, prepping for the Brighton Marathon. I’m running in April because (a) at my age, it’s either a buy a motorbike or take on physical challenges, and (b) the Make-A-Wish Foundation is a fantastic charity that needs your support.
The Make-A-Wish foundation has made a real difference in the life of my own family when my nephew battled cancer as a boy. Those were difficult days for him and for all of us, and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity they gave him to meet his favourite sports team was a huge source of strength.
I’m only on for £500 (about $650), but it would be great to do more. I hardly need to pull at your hearty strings, given each of us either has kids, has walked with loved ones whilst they struggled with serious illness, or has gone through it themselves. So please be generous, give via my page, and in return I will do my best not to collapse before the finish line on 14 April.
Thanks
Jason

Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
