Story
WITH A HEAVY HEART I WILL NOT BE RUNNING ENDURE 24 THIS YEAR. A number of reasons bed to concentrate my family. My daughter has her GCSE this year. I need to concentrate on my girls and my own mental health. I hope to take part next year.
I will back to Run Reigate in September and will extending my charity page to the end of the year.
I will running all my races to Endure24 next June, to support a small charity called ADHD Aware who support adults impacted by ADHD. This is a very small organisation who run peer sessions for people with ADHD their partners and for parents. Funding small groups like this really makes a difference.
You probably wondering why I choose this charity. I discovered it late 2022. When seeking diagnosis for myself. I always suspected I am autistic. Since my daughter's diagnosis of ASD with ADHD traits. I did a ADHD online test and was shocked by the results. Late last year. I got my mild combined ADHD diagnosis. The autism hides it. I am the waiting list for autism. I identify as AuADHD. The charity has support me with zoom and in-person groups. My girls do not have their diagnosis. My eldest ADHD traits are getting worse as she gets older and my youngest I suspect is on the spectrum. I was very nervous about telling people. If it helps the charity more. I am happy to do it.
