Story
For the last two years I have done quite a bit of cycling on my old bike to raise funds for organisations supporting refugees. The rides have been challenging but many people have been generous in their support for which I’m extremely grateful. This year I’m older and my bike is older, but there are 3 million (and rising) more refugees on the move fleeing the war in Ukraine. This is huge. Their need and what they’re going through is greater than anything I can really imagine. So I’m getting back on the bike to raise funds for the @chooselove Ukraine crisis appeal.
I’m heading north this time. I plan to start from Bristol and head to Moffat in Scotland. I’ve bought a map of all the cycle routes in the UK and told my brother to expect me sometime in May. It is daunting and it will be hard but, unlike so many others, I have a safe home to return to.
I hope that you can find it in your heart and in your pocket to support me by donating through this page. No amount is too small to make a difference and every penny will go towards helping refugees.
As the old Joan Baez song says - There but for fortune go you or I.
