Story
Today, and every day, 58 women in the UK will receive the life changing news of a gynaecological cancer diagnosis. The Lady Garden Foundation is on a mission to raise significant funds for research that can drastically reduce the diagnoses and devastating outcomes of gynaecological cancers and gynaecological health issues for women everywhere. I was diagnosed with a tumour on my vulva in March 2020 and despite vulval cancer being rare (1 in 1200 diagnosed cancers) and a relatively high 5-year survival rate of 67%, I was told that my cancer was inoperable and I would die. A second opinion meant that I had successful surgery and was given another chance. If you can afford to make a small donation to The Lady Garden Foundation that would be lovely, but more importantly - Let's Talk About Our Fannies Ladies! Thank You. Jane x
PS. I didn't make it in the end. The cancer returned in March 2023 and I died at home with my husband Jon, best friend Sharon and lovely step-daughter Melissa at my side on 29th April 2023. Them's the shakes! Please donate in my memory to help increase awareness of all women's cancers. We can beat them together.
Love you, Jane x
