Story
I've dusted off my old trainers and am about to begin training to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise as much as I can for the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society (NASS).
Why?
Well, the last couple of years have been a rollercoaster for Bea as she has struggled with being in & out of hospital on multiple occasions before receiving a diagnosis of Axial Spondyloarthritis (AS).
AxSpa (AS) is an inflammatory autoimmune disease that targets, in particular, the spine but it can also affect other joints, your eyes and your bowel.
It's a condition that affects young people, with the average age of onset being 24 and it affects 1 in 200 of the adult population of the UK. That's twice as many as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's.
NASS is the only UK registered charity dedicated to transforming AS care in the UK and they aren't Government Funded.
By sponsoring me you'll help NASS to raise national awareness of this horrid disease and I'll have raised your awareness of Axial Spondyloarthritis.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for your donation; it means a lot.
