We empower local medical professionals to provide cleft care in their communities

Story

The Smile Train was a cause close to Jenny’s heart as her son Paul was born with a cleft lip and had transformative surgery at birth.

Jenny couldn’t believe that for a relatively small amount of money children could have life changing surgery to correct their cleft palates or lips.

Many children with untreated clefts around the world live in isolation, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing, hearing, and speaking. Cleft treatment is safe, and the impact on the child is immediate

Sadly, many children are left without treatment because their family cannot afford the cost of surgery.

Jenny loved children and wanted to help them smile, she often said "everyone smiles in the same language."
