Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I appreciate it – as I know that these days people get bombarded by requests to give to good causes.

I'm doing the Culture Crawl because it's an inspired idea and a good cause. It also means I can see places like the Scottish Portrait Gallery and Dovecot at night while I walk and talk with two of my oldest friends.

I've written about the Maggie's Centres in the past and visited them during the course of my work as a journalist with a particular interest in art. There's an innate feeling built into the Maggie's bricks that the arts matter when it comes to the way human beings function.

That's why the centres need our help. I'll be writing about the Culture Crawl as I go. Please join me @JanPatience
