On the 13th May 2024 myself, Jack, james, and Josh will be taking on the Ultra 100k Jurassic Coast Challenge.
This mammoth distance is a continuous walk / run across the steep hills of the Purbeck coastline from start to finish through day and night. It starts at Corfe Castle, then heads down to Swanage, and along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups & downs to the height of ‘Ben Nevis’. We then arrive at Weymouth which is the half way point. It then continues past Portland Bill, Chesil Beach, and on to West Bay’s cliffs finishing at Bridport marking the 100!
The route has over 2,300 metres of climb and takes in the best of the Jurassic Coast and some of the UK’s finest coastline.
We aim to complete this mammoth challenge around 24 hours.
In aid of this challenge we would like to represent and support The Lexi May Trust - Supporting children with terminal illness or life limiting conditions in Dorset.
Any donations would be very much appreciated and make the ache and pains during this challenge much more worth it!
Many thanks
Jamie
The Lexi May Trust
Their story:
“Lexi May was our middle child of our four beautiful daughters. She was a fun, loving, smiley happy 7 year old diagnosed with an inoperable Brain Tumour known as DIPG in January 2015. The diagnosis of which gave us an estimated 9 – 12 months of precious time to make memories as a family.
We made many wonderful memories with our daughter and we want other families to be able to do the same. Please take a moment to look through our website and find out about what we do, how we can help and vitally, how you can help us.
