CrossFit Plymouth - Heroes helping Heroes! 

At CrossFitPlymouth we're a bit different...we like to go that extra mile to earn your sponsorship. In 2009 some of the guys carried 10kg logs...in 2010 we carried the logs...plus stopped at every mile marker to complete 50 repetitions of a set exercise (including 50 burpees on the finish line!!!). So how could we beat that??? 
 
Well this is what we've come up with... 
 
This year a team of 8 of my CrossFit Plymouth comrades have accepted the challenge of attempting to complete the Plymouth half marathon on May the 29th 2011 carrying a stretcher with mock wounded soldier (Ellie Carter-Silk).   
 
Just to give you an idea we have completed our first 4 mile training run and it can only be described as horrific!! 
 
However, Help for Heroes is a cause that we value and support and we are really proud to be raising money and awareness for our military brothers and sisters who bravely face adversity on a daily basis. 
  
I think we all believe that this is our toughest challenge yet.  In addition to a contribution, we would really appreciate your verbal support on the day.  The race starts at 8.30am this year, so get up early an cheer all the runners on, but look out for the stretcher and give a big cheer for CrossFit Plymouth. 
 
We also have a group of 3 guys running the whole event with a log on their shoulder so please give them your support!
