We run three community centres in London to help disadvantaged and vulnerable people

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving.

I started running in 2011 where I completed a half marathon in 2 hours 40 minutes. I didn't train at all for this but by the end of the gruelling 13 miles I couldn't wait to do another. I then completed the Adidas Silverstone Half marathon in 2.20  and most recently completed the Run to the Beat 10k in an hour. I have discovered I love to run and ask anyone out there that thinks they can't to give it a go...there's no greater sense of achievement!

I'm fundraising for a charity called Docklands Settlements and here is a little look at what they do;

The Dockland Settlements improves the life of local people through a diverse programme of education, social, sporting and recreational activiies.

Over the past year, the settlement has worked with over 3000 people from as young as 3 months to as old as 90 years and have run activities and programmes which were attended by over 1400 local residents.

Please help me to reach my goal but more importantly change the lives of these in some cases very young children have a better future!

Thanks

James

About the charity

The Dockland Settlements has been supporting vulnerable, lonely or disadvantaged people since 1894. Currently we run three community centres, two pre and after-school playcare services and a food bank. We support our local communities but our focus is on the most vulnerable & isolated.
