Story
As a friend of Leah's family I'm always happy to support the ROHHAD Association fundraising they tirelessly organise, buying raffle tickets & attending events whenever possible but with the free time I now find i have in these very worrying times & conscious that many ROHHAD fundraising events would have had to be cancelled due to the Corona lockdown i would like to do more, i will livestream the 24 hours & apologise in advance as it wont exactly be riveting tv but could be rather entertaining if it rains as my pool table is in the garden, the plan is to take no more than four15 minute refreshment breaks during the 24 hours
Any & every donation however large or small will be greatfully recieved
Leah who is 10 years old lives in Sittingbourne and suffers from ROHHAD syndrome. ROHHAD is an acronym for rapid-onset obesity (RO) with hypothalamic dysregulation (H), hypoventilation (H), and autonomic dysregulation (AD). It is a rare, life-threatening syndrome that affects the autonomic nervous system (which controls involuntary actions like breathing and your heartbeat) and the endocrine system.
There are currently less than 100 children worldwide diagnosed with this condition!
This event will assist in raising the funds that will go towards the research that will help find a cure for Leah and other children. The charity receive no government funding whatsoever.
