LONDON TO BRIGHTON BIKE RIDE · 17 June 2018
Not that I need an excuse to lose a bit of weight (so I’m told, anyway) but the cause I’m riding for couldn’t be more worthwhile: Chance for Childhood.
The Chance for Childhood team works closely at the ground
level with communities in Africa to ensure children vulnerable to war, poverty and other injustices are given the chance in life they deserve. For more info on the great work they do, visit: https://chanceforchildhood.org/
I’m delighted to be aiding this fantastic cause on the 17th June cycle challenge from London to Brighton, and humbly ask my friends, family and colleagues to support this grueling, hilly ride.
It takes a cyclist of average fitness roughly four hours to complete this 54-mile route. As such, I am confident it will take me no longer than four days to cross the finish line!
Please dig deep, and thanks in advance for your kind support.
* Fair warning: those who do not give generously will be emailed directly with photos of me in my cycling spandex, daily, for 30 days after the event. If this isn’t a good enough incentive to donate to this excellent cause, I don’t know what is.
