Story
As many of you will know my mum recently passed away after being ill with lung cancer, and the team from Farleigh Hospice did an amazing job in making it possible for her to stay at home with us and still have access to the care she needed.
I would like to extend my thanks to the team at Farleigh and try to give something back by raising as much money as possible so they can continue to offer others the care and support they need at such a difficult time. It costs Farleigh £16,500 each day to provide their services and only around 40% of this comes from NHS funding so your donations will directly help Farleigh allow people with life-limiting conditions to live as actively as possible from the point of diagnosis to the end of their life.
I will be cycling from London to Paris in July and Beth and I have decided to trek up Kilimanjaro in September in memory of mum and so that there is a focal point for the fundraising, but all of the money raised will go directly to support Farleigh through JustGiving.
I'd also like to add a massive thankyou to Henleaze Tennis Club in Bristol and Chelmsfordians Tennis Club in Chelmsford for agreeing to host fundraising tournaments as well.
If you feel able to help then I cannot recommend this cause enough, they genuinely do make a difference, so please give generously if you can.
