Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Macmillan Cancer Support.
There are two reasons why I've decided to take part and run the London Marathon. The main reason is for my Dad, Mark Fielding, who sadly passed away in June 2013 after his long fight with cancer. I don't think anyone would argue with me in saying that he was a wonderful, wise and caring man. He always had time for people, and cared more for other people than himself. He is missed by eveyone, and he was such a strong fighter through his illness. So understandably he is the main reason why I'm running the marathon.
The second reason for this run is to raise money for the incredible organision that is Macmillan. They are the organisation that looked after my Dad throughout his illness, and I can't begin to say how amazing they are. Macmillan not only looked after Dad, they were part of his life. He got support from all angles, and with this support they helped make his life as enjoyable as it possibly could be. Not only that, they are also are there for close family members who may need a person to talk to.
Therefore, I'm sure you can appreciate how important this organisation is. So please dig deep, and support the people who look after cancer patients.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by 25% at no cost to you.
I really appreciate your donation, and I wouldn't be able to thank you enough. I will keep you upto date with how the training goes, and how the marathon went on the day.
Thank you
James Fielding
