Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity help under 5's with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments make the best possible start in life and give families the support and skills to continue their development at home. 

As you may or may not know my son, Milo, has had a bit of a rough few months with numerous brain surgeries and the news that he is likely to have Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy along with having a shunt for Hydrocephalus, all before he is 6 months old. Understandably this has all been quite daunting and Dame Vera Lynn has been a brilliant resource in helping access some incredibly important support including advice and guidance and physiotherapy to maximise his mobility and motor function. Although of course I want to do something to help them regardless, as with many places they have struggled with the effects of the pandemic and in order to keep going they need to raise some more funds. Hence walking across some burning coals for a good cause!
