Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in Scotland's Loch Lomond 2 mile open water swim in honour of my recently deceased best friend Lauren. She was an absolute inspiration and the toughest of fighters, her will to live was indomitable, fighting Cystic Fibrosis for many years.

Throughout her life Lauren took every opportunity that she came across and anything she chose to do she gave it her all. Her approach inspired me to try and live my life in much the same way. As such in order to honour her memory I have decided to participate in The Great Scottish Swim.

In doing this swim I have chosen to raise funds for the charity CFCF (Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund) so that other sufferers of the disease can be supported by this fantastic charity. CFCF provides support such as medical equipment, start up grants for young adults setting up first time homes, driving lessons and much more. Greatly improving the quality of life of sufferers of Cystic Fibrosis

To be honest I am slightly terrified about the prospect of going for a swim in an icy cold lake and I probably should have listened to Lauren when she told me to never give up on my swimming.

Thanks for taking the time to read my page any donations would be extremely appreciated.
