Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Two years on from running the Brentwood Half Marathon I have made the brave/mad/naive decision to run the London Marathon this year. I am running on behalf of Special Needs And Parents (SNAP) who are a local charity that mean a lot my family and are all round a great cause. The charity helps Essex families who have children aged 0-25 years with special needs and disabilities. As a family we have supported the charity ever since it was set up in 1994, but I am the first to raise money by running a Marathon. All donations will be greatly appreciated and will help make the suffering much more bearable. More importantly your donations will go a long way to providing the financial support needed to ensure the charity can continue its fantastic work.

Fortunately I have not been suffering alone with the training as my girlfriend, Lucy Partridge, is also running the marathon. Despite the miserable weather at times, early morning and late night runs, we have persevered and our training is going well. Based on training so far I am hoping to run the marathon in 3hrs 30mins (and not get beaten too badly by Lucy!). Although the whole thing is slightly daunting I am looking forward to the challenge and raising as much money as possible for a truly great cause.

Please donate what you can and thank you for all your support.
