Story
Jackfield church organ was made pre-1900 by T.T. & W. Ginns of Lower Tooting, London. We believe it was previously located in a private house near Blists Hill in Madeley and moved to the church around the turn of the 19th / 20th century.
The organ is housed in an oak case and above the woodwork the bright metal pipes are arranged in a symmetrical pattern.
It was a well made organ but is now in a poor state of repair. The lower manual section works but the upper one has a few notes that are not playable. Only two stops are working. The lower section of the organ containing the pedals doesn't work at all.
Despite its poor condition our pipe organ is still played regularly for services and celebrations, commemorating events & milestones, and helping to brighten people’s lives.
We've had a quote for £46,800 to fully repair the organ and we need your help to raise the money. Any donations will be gratefully received.
Thank you!
