They did it! John, Karen, Baz and Pete smashed their 51.8 mile cycle, including 701m of climb, in 5 hours and 27 minutes and Verity completed the 20.5 mile walk, with 597m climb, in 6 hours and 16 minutes!

In memory of Jack and Lilian Verity and as a thank you for the support their local Age UK provided to them over the years, next Sunday, 13th June, for what would have been Jack's 86th birthday weekend, John and Verity have set themselves a challenge of visiting some of the places Jack and Lilian lived, worked and where they liked to play, all in one day, via their two favourite methods of transport - cycling and walking. This means 50 miles by bike for John and 20 miles on foot for Verity. They will have some friends and family to accompany them along the way (or at the very least for a drink at the end!), but they would really appreciate your support by way of fundraising for this very worthy cause.
