We help improve Cardiac Care to support people with heart conditions

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. This site has been created in loving memory of our darling son, Jack, who passed away in 2009. When Jack was just one day old we found out that he had a very serious heart condition and the three of us moved to Southampton General Hospital - with Jack being treated in the Wessex Cardiac Centre. During Jack's stay in hospital, we were fortunate enough to be able to stay at Heartbeat House - a shared house run by lovely people with free accommodation for families just five minutes away from where Jack was. This meant that we could spend every moment possible with our beautiful son. After six weeks of baffling the doctors and proving them wrong several times (that's our boy!), Jack sadly lost his fight with life. We will treasure every moment we spent with Jack for the rest of our lives. We are eternally grateful to Wessex Heartbeat for allowing us to have all those extra memories.
